January 9, 2015: One of the faculties of the university had organized a trip to a hockey game for us. For the Dutchies, hockey is not field hockey here, it is ice hockey and this difference in naming is completely self-explanatory after having lived here for 2 weeks, during which temperature was above zero for maybe 24 to 48 hours in total.

The Yacht House was built to house the Boldt family's three yachts and enormous houseboat in slips 128 feet long. ... cheer as we rode up and parked our bikes in a nearly empty field. And...best of all...we were first in line for food! And what a feast it was...chicken, pizza, hamburgs and hot dogs, fresh fruit, roast beef sandwiches, and freshly cooked corn on the cob. I must say that our fuel consumption went up after that little feast! :)
