    Day 25

We were up at 6:30a.m. and left the hotel before 8:00a.m. We made it to Toledo by 5:00. We were in our driveway before 6:00p.m. after a trip to the grocery store. All animals are alive, well, and happy to see us! Now the fun part of cleaning out the car:(

Yes, we would leave tomorrow and do it all over again if we could! There were a few meltdowns along the way, but the laughter and experiences far exceeded the not-so-fun times.

As we were creeping along, those two coffees . . . were reminding me . . . that we had passed up two roadside rests . . . and then I didn't want to stop as we got into the really heavy traffic.

There aren't that many houses on the road. Must be a Michigan thing.

Yesterday we we drove all over, ...

... an hour. Being the navigator, with a pretty good track record on this trip so far, I took him on a "cut through" to get back on the 80 towards Chicago. I had to stretch the truth a little when I realized that my cut through was like going up to see the Darlings on a back road when I was trying to get to Mt. Pilot (like my Mayberry references?). After a bit, we were back on the highway and I saw that the Machine was in GO mode. ...

    Where Am I ?

I know I'm in Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan. It is about 25 miles to Toledo, Ohio, 32 miles to Ann Arbor, MI and 63 miles to Detroit, Michigan, so we aren't far from several major cities, but it feels like we've been put down smack in the middle of acres upon acres of corn fields under ...
