    Getting to Belize is fairly easy from the west coast of the U.S. We are only two time zones away. (With two of my kids in Australia it is a challenge with an 18 hour difference and a boat load of money needed to get there). I haven't gone there myself for that very reason.

    ... at yet another motel – the Budget Inn of America (N42 19.410 W122 52.155), a good deal on a coupon any day of the week, including weekends, for just under $40 a night. We need the wifi connection offered by almost all motels here to get our blog uploads done,
    that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it. The fact that this motel room includes a nice long bath in which to soak has nothing to do with it….
