... into town to sort out my Amtrak tickets for Santa Fe ..So hot I went into the Tattered Cover bookstore to look around /cool down and met a nice friendly musician called Tom and got on well enough to arrange to hang out together tmw afternoon so good to have a local on my side! Back to v hot house and ate at Jake's a local 'food & drinks' restaurant ... Full ...

Deciding that we had enough viewing pleasure for one day, we set out for Colorado with earnest intent. From that northern route, it took us until nearly evening to reach the Interstate again. Before we did, however, we saw one last photo-worthy sign, and resisted the urge to check in:
