This place brought back memories. The only other time I was in Jacksonville, NC was last year when Charlotte got the big snowstorm that had the airport shut down off and on for 4 days (mostly shut down). I got stuck in Jacksonville, NC from Tuesday morning at 8:30 till we left on Friday morning at 11:00. There are only 3 gates at this airport, very small. I was happy to see that we stayed in a nicer area and there were a lot stuff around the hotel. ...

Bad news is the place gave me the heebie-jeebies. We got through the night no problem and really I’m sure everything was fine but we packed it up the next morning ...

Vesuvius and a dog named Easy, chasing giant possums, cornhole tournaments (Dad and Uncle Dick took the title), a giant bait pool, Mikey catching a skate, squid slaps, pancakes, dulcimer/mandolin/guitar/tamboraka jam sessions, cards against humanity, late night/pre-sunrise sea turtle excursions (we were 2 hours late and saw ...

... caught two fish (possibly even the same fish two separate times) and we chilled on the beach until about 1:30.

In the afternoon Charlotte taught Sandy and Mary to play the card game, Sleeping Queens. Interestingly, the rules changed just a little from time to time during the game. Humm, I wonder what that was all about.

Dinner tonight was pizza from Home Port restaurant - quite ...
