... was delicious. I have learned that the beauty of the Chinese meal is that it is served family style with several dishes you can pick and choose from. Most times, at the very least, there is some rice dish that will work. No, I did not try the duck tongue, and I also passed on the stinky tofu which was featured at dinner!

After lunch we hopped back on the bus and drove past several lakes where we saw the mussel farmers on the lake in their boats "planting “the mussels ...

through next summer, I plan to apply to a few universities around Taiwan to get
a graduate degree. Taiwan pays foreigners
to get a degree all taught in English so it seems like a waste to not take
advantage of this opportunity. My only

... begin to grow pictures would be sent our way.

As we were finishing up our planting it began to rain again, so we made our way back to the house just in time for a Dragon Boat Festival lunch. Among the dishes was one particularly unappetizing plate, and it took all I had to keep myself from staring when people actually ate it. Chicken feet....among all things they were eating chicken feet, talons and all! I guess they are actually very good for you, ...
