... and I sat in the back, and while we missed some of the main action in the front, we were glad because the two boys up front were soaked. The rapids were so fun to go through. The raft rocked back and forth and up and down, and we were all getting soaked and thrown about. NOTE: As several have commented, the landscape looks pretty lush and green and we found that to be the case today as well. I’m not sure what the winter was like here, but water seems to abound in this part of the country.

Wow. Eastern Oregon, Idaho is such beautiful country - lots of space, golden, rolling hills in some places and a bunch of sage brush in others. Easy road on I-84 though, and now we're done with that, and are going to take Route 51 south, then Route 40, to Route 60, etc. No freeways for us.
