    ... and I sat in the back, and while we missed some of the main action in the front, we were glad because the two boys up front were soaked. The rapids were so fun to go through. The raft rocked back and forth and up and down, and we were all getting soaked and thrown about. There was some fear instilled in us because we could fall off the raft, but that made the experience that much more exhilarating.

    Woke up in the brilliant morning sunlight this morning after pretty decent night's sleep (not nearly as cold as our last night out). After packing up, we continued to the north on the two track dirt road that we'd come in on the night before. The next 1 hour or so was a slice of motorcycling heaven.     Wow. Eastern Oregon, Idaho is such beautiful country - lots of space, golden, rolling hills in some places and a bunch of sage brush in others. Easy road on I-84 though, and now we're done with that, and are going to take Route 51 south, then Route 40, to Route 60, etc. No freeways for us.
