Really, there isn't much to say. I think it was like $45 a night and it was reasonably clean. Just a place to lay your head. If you're looking for anything more, then you're out of luck.

The city known for its wild side, with cowboys just off the range, famous sheriffs, like Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson now has tricycle races on main street. Stewart Plumping is this years grand champion. You must ride an adult tricycle out 100 feet round a cone and make it back to the start for your hand off. The race is a 4 man team relay.

Next day it was off to the rodeo. The bulls, bucking horses and calfs out did the cowboys in every event. ...

... on a mostly gravel footpath. Hey, that's not bad for a gal with a sprained knee! Doc said walking is ok; just no twisting. I don't have a clue as to how I did it but I'm glad to know it's not a bad one and should be well soon.

The park is not crowded. A few fisherman come and go but there are only a handful of campers. The sites are some of the largest we've ever seen. You could park 3 rigs in each space. The drawback is there is no water at the sites. Sure ...

... morning at 6:23, still in the dark. Stopped at McDonald's in Las Vegas (NM, that is) for breakfast and just kept chugging along until we got to Springer, NM. There we headed on over into Texas and Oklahoma and eventually into Kansas.

This route was pretty much familiar to us because we went this way last year when we went to New-braska for me to do an orientation. After that gig, we drove ...

... and Richard immediately set to setting up the fine tuning of the rear axle psoition having been too tires the previous night. The car seemed to have run faultlessly all day so we were incredibly grateful to Erwin and Larry for allowing us to continue in the Rally. We were also very pleased to discover we were now 4th overall.

... thought we'd let you know we are safe and have eaten. After much deliberation outside the hick joint about whether or not to go in, we walked in, and straight out again. There weren't many people there (the bar was a members only 'Cowman's Lounge' and was behind closed doors, thank goodness) and we couldn't really see what was on offer to eat, but we thought better of it, got in the car and drove a couple of blocks down the road to where it was a bit ...
