    ... had filled. Lucky we got there just in time! While we were setting up we met a young couple from North Carolina. They had just completed a 60mile backpacking trip in the Bob Marshall wilderness. They had gotten stuck in the storm we encountered at Bowman Lake, and were trying to dry out all their stuff in the sun. Our tent was saturated as well from the heavy dew.

    Our first impression of this park was not great, the main tourist attraction "The Road to the Sun" was closed and the campground was pretty average!     ... were 3-4 times higher than a normal store. In Washington state we paid $ 1.25 on sale for Chunky Soup by Campbell's. Here in this store for the same soup it was $ 4.99 just for one can. we decided to eat the food we have in the car and forget get something fresh out of the store.     ... if you drive straight through, but it took us 5 hours just to go one way because we stopped so often! The road is windy and narrow - only one lane each way - and often you feel like you are going to scrape the side of your car on the walls - but we made it unscathed. We have never driven on such sharp switchbacks before - glad we weren't in the motorhome!
