It was almost dark and another 150kms further on we saw signs to Springfield. I've since been told it's the home of The Simpsons and judging by a few of the folk we saw there I can see why The Simpsons would live here.

      ... a nautical motif or designed in an old-timey nature and painted in wild colors which certainly help to attract the tourists that they cater to. Streets are brick - think grey and unevenly placed, not red and meticulously groomed - which I found to be awesome.
