Potlatch is situated on Puget Sound's Hood Canal as you enter the absolutely beautiful Peninsula of Washington. The RV resort we are staying in - the Waterfront at Potlatch is owned by the Skokomish Tribe of Washington. It's a small resort which …

Today was pretty much a driving day and we were doing well until exit 306B of I-5 with only 4 miles or so to Washington State... a reader board alerted drivers to a crash on the I-5 Interstate Bridge and right lane closed ahead. Traffic came to a crawl and at a few points stalled altogether.... it was 1:40pm and by the time we got across the bridge it was 2:48 pm or so. After ...

... was ignored. While fish ladders were proposed as a possibility in the 70’s and 80’s, they were ultimately ruled out. Through on going lobbying by local environmental groups and first nation groups the Government committed to removing the two dams. Not a small operation, the major problem with the removal of the dams was the approximately 13.7 million cubic meters of sediment that has built up behind the dams. Of that 13 million, 9 million was behind the Glines Canyon ...
