We spent 2 days in Iron Mountain, Michigan. It is a nice little town with connections to Henry Ford, lumber for transporting cars and Kingsford, charcoal. The town is really split in 2, Iron Mountain and Kingsford with the total population of 16,000. We went to Pine Mountain Ski jump and hiked up the 500 stairs. It was a nice stress test!! The ski jump is one of the largest artificial ski jumps in the USA.

Wow, what a day. It was suppose to rain all day, but our luck held out. We went to Chuck's great grand parents farm. As a kid he spent his summers there, swimming, fishing and hunting. It may have rained a bit during the night, but I woke to sunny skies, absolutely clear. This was not the forecast, which was one reason I was so happy to have had a place to sleep indoors last night.
