... it did not snow any more last night! The roads are clear and there is only a couple of inches along the roads. Finished my food to take and about 1 we headed to Kristin’s. A bit more snow out their way but none on the roads. There were 12 for dinner but we could have easily fed 25 or more!! ... town is 99% Muslim. There are many trees and the area just looks more prosperous. Our hotel here is Hilton Garden Inn Istanbul Golden Horn, and you need to use door cards to operate the elevator and the electricity. It is no longer snowing so walk back- about ½ mile was not bad, though it was slippery! Met a lady and college age daughter having a night out-they had gone to see Nutcracker Ballet, and loved it. We talked with them for a while, very enjoyable, and then on home to relax for the evening.
