... from last week - while Julia did marathon laundry. After a panic run to Dubois Super Foods for dog food and graham crackers, the night closed out with smores around the campfire. It is sort of different shopping experience to be in line behind a grizzly bearded guy with dirty work clothes buying light chocolate ice cream with a .45 strapped to his side. Guess they have had ice cream robbery issues of late. Dubois – cool little town.

The family eat a late lunch at the Cowboy Cafe and went shopping down main street as Mom needed boots for riding. Turned out to be a big day in Dubois with the volunteer fire dept putting on the annual Bison feed and bull riding at a special Saturday rodeo. As a result all the shops shut their doors early and no boots were found. It worked well for the dog. They came back to ...

Today was affectionately known as "Christmas Eve" by some in my group. It contained the kind of anticipation only felt by kids one day before they are set to get all the presents for which they'd been waiting with great expectancy (and most likely, without patience :)).
