... this particular rodeo only has a 1% injury rate. Still seems too high to a Mom! The announcer also mentioned that he rode just a couple spots before Lane Frost on the night he was killed riding a bull. A scary business the rodeo.

Just a quick stop in Dubois but lots of great memories in Wyoming! We're planning on a long driving day to Custer, South Dakota next and hope to leave early! We'll see how that goes!

... hour to review the maps and write down the required information. We were lucky enough to have breakfast cooked by our respective groups as we were writing. My group made a ridiculously good mix of Perkys, oatmeal, chocolate chips, and peanut butter. The mix was thick like cookie dough and not something your mother would ever in her life give her child for breakfast. But Mom was 2,000 miles away and being 24, I made the decision after ...

... from the trail and proceed towards our GPS coordinates. We dropped our packs in a small bed of trees. Boy, was it lovely to hike without a massive pack on my back for once. I sincerely forgot what that felt like! We crossed a river and hiked up to an actual 4WD road, and had to get out of the way as an actual car passed us. That was a very weird experience, not having seen either for over 3 weeks. The rumble of machinery was unsettling.

Annemarie had a ...
