Our first night in Melbourne we stayed in a caravan park just out of the city centre. We happened to be in Melbourne during the Writers Festival and authors were giving talks at various venues around the city. The author we most wanted to see was Tony Wheeler, he and his wife Maureen were the founders of the world famous Lonely Planet Guidebooks. He was talking about his new book Darklands which is a series of stories about his travels into off limits counties ...
... grace our palates tonight. Surprisingly, I forget how close these cultures/countries are to India as I recognise some of the dishes. We indulge, giving our tongues lots to be drooling over. This is one place I won't soon forget and hope to visit again soon.
My night ends with E and I chatting as she packs up some souvenirs and I doing some last minute hotel booking for the next day. LA, you have been a blast and I cannot wait to come back again to see more of you. ...
... the walls - each playing a different sport/news channel. We bought two cokes which were giant! And a starter to share which was "Fully Loaded Cheesy Fries with Bacon" - yum. Will had not quite finished his coke when the waiter suddenly took it off the table and walked off! You should have seen his face..
