We left for Lake Taupo in the morning, stopping first for a walk in the Red Wood forest and booked our sky dive for the afternoon! We had a quick walk to see the Huka waterfalls then got a bus to the sky dive offices!!! We both did a sky dive over Lake Taupo from 15,000 feet with the full Monty package which means we had a Go Pro on our tandem ...

That being said, super volcanos make some of the most beautiful landscapes. Surrounding this giant lake, a.k.a. super volcano crater, there are several normal size volcanos, including Peter Jackson's Mt. Doom. In real life is it covered in snow, and hikers, rather ...

... so decided that this would be the first thing we would do upon arrival in Taupo, to get it out of the way.

We arrived at Tandem Skydive Taupo only to be told to return in an hour and a half. The supposedly nervous Lyndsey spent most of this period taking a nap while I paced nervously up and down Linford. Upon our return to Skydive Taupo we registered details of our next of kin. We signed an indemnity absolving everyone from the New Zealand ...
