... of the air- pure pine needles. I have never smelt anything like it- I wish that smell could be bottled up and taken away.
No-one was here- it was so quiet and relaxing.
On Sunday the weather cleared and I saw the true beauty of the lake. I have been very fortunate with my travels and have travelled all around the World but this lake really is something. Even suffering with the drought ...

... 15 mins of the trip was nice...we all fell asleep after that... Our loft style cabin is pretty cool! We have a pool table, a hot tub & a steam room...and yes a fire!! We went for a walk to get some groceries & scout out the takeaway restaurants & for the boys to arrange ski hire & lift tickets. No skiing tomorrow as was planned as it is too windy & I think they are both mega tired..so it'll be a nice rest day tomorrow ...
... an interesting ride.
The Best Western was not the newest place in town, but it was clean and comfortable. Dinner was at Racks Bar and Grill, the deer heads and waitresses lived up to the name.
We stay the night in Ely.
