Disembarkation at Lauderdale !

Just a quick update on last night's events.



Our bags were packed and put out for collection early - a first for us but at least there was no last minute rush.




After our drink in Skywalkers - Margarita - yay !! we went back to our cabin for last minute things – a little bit of hand washing, posting on our blog and anwering an email and logging out with 30 seconds to spare before our internet time elapsed…whew !!

... teeniest bit just as we sailed off on the Miami Airport turnoff.... hmmm .. really... hey guys... we're not going to Miami Airport we're flying out of Fort Lauderdale!! Round the block and back on track then "Jane" told us to take an exit but Heather and I in the back were saying "no I don't think so, the signs say the airport turnoff is in 1 mile" but who's going to argue with Jane? So we took the exit and once again ended up on the scenic route, we think this was ...

... we sat in the exit row, fantastic legroom for the 2 1/2 hour flight, a quick hop through the Caribbean.

... It's a tight squeeze on board, the snacks are expensive, as is all luggage (carry-on as well as checked). But, in order to save a few hundred dollars, well worth it!

Once I figured out that we could go to the Everglades and possibly see some manatees I was totally sold on the idea...and for Josh he wanted to kind-of 'live' GTA Vice City so we were quite happy with this little detour!

We decided to stay at another comfy hotel ...

... the toys you want... A tender, jet-ski's etc. Ellen made us the most lovely dinner. Garlic, ginger and chilli prawns and avocado on baby-leaf spinach for starters and roast beef with veggies and baby potatoes for main. It was delicious!!! Felt so spoilt. We had a lovely evening and they have put me in touch with a few people to apply for work. Things are slowly but surely starting to happen, I feel a lot more ...
