    ... and that was after Alex bounced into me and almost knocked me overboard. Fortunately, I was able to stay in the boat. No one would have ever believed he was the cause. A couple times we entered areas of the river where all was calm and swimming was permitted.     ... We collected some Garnets from the area and headed back to the camp. At a nearby camp, we met a newly-wed older couple, and I taught my son the art of patience as we spent the better part of an hour listening to their drunk tales.
