After Bisbee and Naco, it was time to do a little communing with nature. Nature, as in leave the black top and get out on the sandy ruts and occasional boulders. We left the highway somewhere between St. David and Tombstone. At no point was Dick intimidated by apparent dead-ends...well he was once, but that was just using good judgment. (Ask me sometime about trying to drive over an impassible boulder-strewn road ...

... immediately took a nice long nap. The past few days of driving have begun to wear us out a little bit, and Tina is feeling the onset of a chest cold. All good vibes are appreciated!

Tomorrow is an even shorter day, as it should take about 5 hours for us to get to our destination in Ontario, California, east of Los Angeles. We'll be on Pacific Time! We'll have In-N-Out Burger to devour! And we 'll be so much closer to our destination.

So now I'm in Phoenix waiting for my 11:45 flight to Albuquerque. Can't wait to just get there now, today had been soooo long! The cabin crew on my last flight must have been at the end of a long long shift because they didnt seem in the mood to suffer fools...ah well :-p More updates to come :-) ...

... a dog section and that was good! I wanted a house away from dog noise! Now, suddenly, everyone around us has dogs! I do not think that should have happened. We had planned to go out for a roasted chicken and eat here at home but it is raining and we decided on beans, garlic bread and 3 of the Italian sausages I had put in my suitcase when we came here! A good meal. Tonight we decided to read Dracula outloud—one chapter a night and Phil is reading it. He has read it ...
