It was challenging and a little scary but I am really proud of being able to do it and do it well. Debbie and I have talked on the phone from time to time, over the 36 years since we got out of the Air Force in 1978 but... I never thought I'd find myself just 70 miles from her home in Massachusetts!!! She was SO SURPRISED when I called her and asked if we could stop by for a visit!! Spending time with her was absolutely one of my favorite experiences on our ...

... dimmer. Around Greenfield we tried to find Turners Falls fish ladder but seemed to miss the signs. Drove around a bit to see if we could find anywhere to stay. We had the address of a Days Inn but thought we might find something else. By the time we got to the Days Inn we were ready to stop. They had a room which is very big. It would appear that some people may be staying here for lengthy times as the kids are playing in the car park on bikes, trikes and push along ...
