At about halfway up we still had a decent view as we were under the clouds so we stopped, caught our breaths and had some granola bars. As we got higher it got wetter and a little more difficult to get up the rocks. It was slow going but still really fun and felt like an adventure. Concentrating on getting from rock to rock made us forget how much work we were doing. When we got to the top we knew ...

As I mentioned earlier the Bay of Fundy rises about 1 foot every 10 minutes, during the incoming tide, so there is a tremendous amount of water flowing into the bay. The rivers are still flowing ...

A travel blog entry by heavenonearth on Oct 04, 2014

Debbie and I have talked on the phone from time to time, over the 36 years since we got out of the Air Force in 1978 but... I never thought I'd find myself just 70 miles from her home in Massachusetts!!! She was SO SURPRISED when I called her and asked if we could stop by for a visit!! Spending time with her was absolutely one of my favorite experiences on our ...

... about 57 degrees F. Amazing how different the weather was from 2 days ago. Then it was short sleeves and shorts, yesterday long sleeves and long pants and today it was coats.

Stopped in Arlington at a Wholefoods Market where we made our own salads for lunch. You pay by the weight and put whatever you like on the plate or in a takeaway bowl. There was hot and cold food, including soup. They had tables and chairs available to use. A nice warm comfortable place ...
