We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. It is colder on top with the wind than when we are on the bike. We are using our electric jackets to keep warm. We make a stop at the LL Bean super store for a few small purchases. The leaves started to turn in Ernest in New ...

Speaking of artists, this place is teeming with them! In the space of an hour we must have walked into a dozen galleries and artisan shops each showcasing their unique styles.

... the campground and a free run in a field. We have to leave the campsite we've been staying and needed to choose another.

In the afternoon we visited Cabela's and saw the movie "Everest" in 3D. Another great true story movie! A visit to Bayley's Lobster Pound on the way home, prompted us to buy some Maine Stone Crab Claws to bring home for dinner. What a feast although we both agreed these claws weren't quite as good as Florida's.
