    ... and we LOVED IT!! It was basically real country food or comfort food maybe. The large dining area had lots of animals (dead and stuffed) which have been used in unusual ways. 3 geese were hanging from the ceiling and every so often their wings would flap and a goose sound comes out, an owl sits on a perch and hoots sometimes, a raccoon is high up and has stolen a box of cracker jacks and then another raccoon that popped out of a barrel to look around and finally ...

    ... And we had rain just like before in New York. We cooked up salmon, rib eye, corn and pasta with provisions picked up in Erie, PA, and then had big family hugs and a big cry from Amy (who would turn right around and drive back west if given the chance) as we talked about what a great trip it has been. Then we went to sleep in our cozy tent (with a new air mattress that had to be purchased after a slow leak) and slept until 9:00 ...

    ... I was past Illinois, it wasn't too bad. There's roadworks in every state, which is normal for this time of year anyway, but worse this year because President Obama released infrastructure funding for transport, so all of the states are digging up roads and train lines, which is great in the long term, but a pain to drive through.
