    ... in the back seat?

    We encountered some traffic due to construction, stopped for lunch but otherwise stayed on track. The landscape is beginning to roll more with hills and valleys and colours are changing. There is still a lot of pine but more hardwood. Blossoms are pink, purple, white and yellow. Forsythia is crazy good. When we reach the Smokey Mountains, Tony is in charge of the car and Robert the music.

    ... I was a bit bemused, but appreciative.

    The local hiking club was hosting a lunch at a new brewery that was opening up, so we headed there for free hot dogs and chips and the like. Sadly, the brewery doesn't actually open until the end of April so no beer, but still: free lunch.     Menu Item: Ham & Hash brown Omelet

    Notes: Came with onions and 3 buttermilk pancakes also

    Comments: It was good but not as good as I hoped. There wasn't enough substance to the omelet. The pancakes were just average.

    ... little something extra that you're always looking for in every meal. And what looks like a scoop of ice cream on the side (how glorious would that be) turns out to be enough butter to drive a Cadillac through a dog house.

    Overall Impression: Most amazing pancakes I've ate in my entire life. Wish I lived closer so I could partake more.
