We took a free shuttle bus to the Venetian in the Tapas neighborhood. The hotel/casino is very similar to Vegas (just smaller in every way). They even offered Gondola rides on a man made canal. A lot of the ballrooms and conference rooms were named after major Italian cities ...

... in downtown Hong Kong i decided to go above ground and take the ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island. the signs are well marked, but I was surprised by how hot and humid it was outside the comforts of the air conditioned trains. We got up and headed out to find how to get to Stanley market. Janet knew most of the way but not where to catch the bus. We walked a fair way and waited with another couple who although sounded Canadian were actually from Sydney and Perth. Took about an hour and got there when it was spitting with rain.
