We drove up the winding road to the lighthouse, the easternmost point of Australia, (along with about five hundred other people), but we didn't get out as it would have cost us $7 to park!!!     ... you can fly half way to Malaysia and still be over Australian soil four hours after take off. Big country indeed. The pre booked meal was bearable. You know you are flying economy when you have to pay for a bottle of mineral water. The capsicum titbits were immediately removed. A long flight .... Over eight hours ....     ... Kong quality right here in Byron Bay'. We also buy a banksia pod aroma diffuser, full of eucalyptus scent, good timing because the caravan is starting to get a strange odour....smells of socks and sweat. Urghhh.
    Beautiful plants and flowers grow on every corner here, today's favourite is included in our pics. After the market we race out of town as the crowds start to swell....SO glad we are staying out of the main town....awful ...
