      ... we're off to our next destination, Carson City where we'll spend a full week and investigate the area as well as check out records for Lynn's 2Grandfather's time here. As I mentioned before, he came from Wales to Massachusetts and found his way here where he worked as a silver miner at the Comstock Mine in Virginia City, Nevada.

      Another day, another adventure!

      On the menu today was zip-lining at the Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park just past Tahoe City. It was a cool morning as we arrived in the forest to get kitted up. After the usual safety briefings we were off. There were three courses all similar to Go-Ape courses in the UK.       ... checked out the fish in their big aquariums, looked at all the taxidermy animals (quite a collection), and even rode the indoor Ferris wheel. That's a first for me. I still get a little uncomfortable with heights, even on an indoor Ferris wheel, but it was fun and Dean loved it.

      It was a good few days. It's always nice to catch up with family, and a couple days with nothing planned but free time felt good.
