We found that plastic money, i.e. debit/credit cards work just fine almost everywhere we traveled. The current currency exchange rate was made by our bank with a minimal 1% change for the service. We did carry a small amount ...

After a long steep descent I finally get down to the bottom and then its another hour's walk to the lake and the campsite. The sun lights up the green ridges surrounding the lake beautifully.

We ended the tour with a lesson on watershed and water pollution followed by an interactive board game all about Lake Tahoe. As an adult with an environmental science background, I learned so much! Imagine what students could take away from an experience like this!

After leaving TCES, we stopped at a few beaches and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. ...
