    ... makes it incredibly hard to put some pegs in, necessitating hammering some in with one of the large rocks that are lying around. This results in several deformed and bent pegs, but eventually the tent looks in good enough shape to sleep in. Following advice in my guidebook and the example of every other camper there, I weigh down as many pegs and guy-ropes as I can with one or more large heavy rocks, just in case a storm hits later.

    ... finding some parking we wandered happily through the town. We got some pizza for the boys so that they could get to the scalextrix truck where there was a long track that they could race each other on. The food stalls were excellent - there was a huge variety and we happily tucked into various burritos and gyros. After a couple of hours we were ready to head home to check that the wine aerator was still working.

Some were open pits and others had mine shafts over 3000 ' deep.
