... tuning our pack lists and checking for weight vs. necessity. The weather here in Tahoe has not been conducive to riding/training in the last two weeks but as the title says: we have " lots of time". Looking forward to meeting Maureen. Dick says great things about her and on the phone she sounds both competent and ...

Friday, June 3, 2015. PCT day 75. Miles 1115-1140 Today was a 25 miles day and I am feeling it. I don't know why I am more tired than usual now after a 25 miles day. We learned why the water is so clear (mostly granitic rocks in the area) and we learned why the clarity was declining (invasive species, pollution). Next, we enjoyed a 3D movie on the Earth's tectonic ...

Our drive from Williams to Sacramento and on to Woodland was a little rushed but still very enjoyable.

After leaving Williams we stayed on I-10 and at Kingman turned north and then crossed the Colorado River in front of the Hoover Dam, which was worth a look.

Somehow as we came into Los Vegas we missed the bypass highway and then had to go thru Downtown - still on a highway but it was busy!
