    ... area, which is a great spot to practice, being here in mid-desert. We saw several fighter-bombers come in to land. I also have a few shots of these planes.


    Fallon is a town of about 5,000 folks. We're parked in a Casino RV Parking Lot, which suits us just fine. We had a good lunch in the cafe and "invested" a few not-very-hard-earned dollars at the machines. No luck, no foul...

    ... doesn’t understand the odds are not in his favor.

    The rest of the evening he is monopolizing the TV to watch basket ball on the one and only TV in the room. That is why I’m here typing in the blog. So I’m just enjoying a small single serving bottle of cherry torched rum by Bacardi. Good, yummy cherry flavor and scent, highly recommended. A great mix with cherry 7UP or cherry Coke.

It is much smaller than Reno and the place we stayed, Comstock RV, was very convenient to everything including Trader Joes and Starbucks.     ... break from the larger towns and traffic on the roads, although it surprised us with how many people were here and how much traffic is in the valley itself. It was also a lot more commercialized than we imagined and to us that was a bit disappointing.     ... spoilt with fantastic scenery along the way, until we pulled into Meeks Bay Campground. We set up camp and took a stroll down to the small beach at the lake edge which was beautiful. Across the lake big green mountains dominated the skyline. We walked around a bit further and watched as the sky and few fluffy clouds turned a pinky orange in the sunset, which then reflected off the lake. Amazing.
