    So we spent yesterday chillin out in the room, went to Safeway and got groceries for some home cooked meals. American supermarkets are crazy, cheap booze and stuff everywhere. I tried to find a stream of the World Series but failed so had to listen on the iPad doin the same thing tonight while have beer/rums and tacos.     ... and Cathtlamet involve leaving the protected channels and going out into the Columbia itself, for portions of the trip. Alone, with no support, I choose the Skamokawa Creek option as it was much less windy and I could get closer to birds, and no chance of getting lost. I didn't have a map of the channels. The rental place might.
