I hated to leave family but 61 days on the road was long enough. It was time to return to New York and get ready for the inevitable school year. We smooched on Aunt Em. She is an angel and always has a room ready for us...and headed to Mom's. It gets more difficult every time to say good-bye. At our ages, nothing is a ...

Hoping we can see the fireworks from ...

After saying goodbye to my “man’s best friend”, Jack, we
pulled out of the drive at 7:05 a.m. heading west to Alaska. This trip has been in the making for over a year and we are both excited to the max for our nine-week adventure. Starting mileage is 60,009. Making our way through New York I saw several does with their fawns in tow, groundhogs, and ...

... with her nursing fawn watched us walk by but did not flee.

We were here just a short time and had quick visits with family. We will plan on returning to the area in the fall for a longer visit and to empty the remaining contents of our now 5' x 10' storage shed.
