The aim today was to drive to the Green Mountains in Vermont - the **** sat nav we've hired likes to take us on long routes so today's drive was 6 hours long! This included driving the length of Manhattan in rush hour in heavy rain and getting lost in a car park. Luckily ...

We followed the wide and easy carriage trails for a while then veered off onto the aptly named Precipice Walk. Well, there was a bit of a drop on one side, but hardly 'hold your breath' stuff. Reaching higher elevations we saw quaking aspen in the their golden glory. What enchanting scenery!

We were impressed with signs ...

Today there were two surfers but one fell fairly quickly and the other went about 1 km. The town has even built a seated viewing area for ...

... br> Yesterday's fine weather was almost duplicated today, except that we woke to a frost and a distinct nip in the air. The car's windshield (gerrit) was frozen over too and many a credit card could be seen scratching at the glass outside the motel. Continental breakfast in main stream America offered waffles and Steph has now become adept at the machine turning process. I can't abide that stuff and stick to the Cornflakes or Special K when available. Today's ...
