On the way back to our mountain cottage, we visited the beautiful Glen Ellis Falls. Pouring more than 600 gallons of water over its edge in just one minute, the powerful falls were quite impressive. We are completely fogged in today and you can't see the mountains at all. Yesterday it unfortunately rained all day and we had a hailstorm in the evening so we couldn't go on the auto road up to Mount Washington or do much of anything outside. The White mountains national park is stunningly beautiful and studded with waterfalls and fast flowing streams. We tried to go up the road to the top of Mount Washington this morning but of course the weather has turned and it is raining again. The wind at the top was blowing hard and the top was in cloud so the attendants at the entrance booth recomended not to bother.
