On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures. Just us 3 are there. But the view is nice. We can see the sunset every nite quite nicely. The dinner was good. After several blocks along the Seawall, we did a big square and walked thru the neighborhood. It's a mixture of some nicely restored houses, some okay houses, and a lot of pretty shabby houses. I guess a typical beach neighborhood. It was interesting because as we left the seawall area, the fog subsided, but ...
