Sleep in after a few long days!! Pack everything into 4 suitcases! Relax by pool, lunch at hotel. Easy flight up to Newark Because Cathay Pacific changed departure from Newark to JFK we had to get a cab and go across New York from New Jersey, over Staten Island, through Brooklyn to JFK in Queens. Was an easy 1 hr trip ...

Well we made it. Flight was smooth and uneventful. Not many people on the plane either, which is always nice. From here, things broke down kind of quickly. We were supposed to meet a friend at dinner at 8. Because of our delay, we were lagging a little but not by much. Then add in, a mile walk, luggage, and train ride -- and we ...

It was about a 20 minute drive and the traffic wasn't so bad. We arrived just after 10 and our tour was due to start at 10:40, we went to the ...

... We watched a broadway show starring Michael C Hall from Dexter (which was ok) where we had to drink out of v expensive sippy cups to prevent mess (ironically spilt a lot down me trying to drink out of the thing), we watched ice skating at the Rockerfella and Central Park, saw Manhatten from the Top of the Rock, felt sorry for Big bird sat on his own on a bench, had 2 bad nights sleep at the Plaza and ran round Central Park. Now for the horrendous overnight flight ...

DAY 25 - SHOPPING WITH FIONA

A travel blog entry by peter-linda on Sep 18, 2014

Met Fiona at 10.30am at 59th St Subway Station. We walked across Central Park south with Peter to 5th Avenue.

Went to FAO Schwarz Toy Store where Marion told me about the Giant Piano. Fiona said it had changed heaps, as the store had been taken over by Toys R Us. Bought two amazing cars for Lachlan & Matthew for Xmas.

We walked to Barney's of New York and enjoyed Morning tea of fresh ...
