Spent last night in Eucha, Oklahoma with Linda and Earl. Linda and I were stationed on Okinawa together. It was great to catch up.

Hit the road about 830 this am and heading to Crandon to see Mom and other family there for a few days.

... impressive, actually. These farms are huge operations and you can't help but wonder if they're privately owned or owned by some foreign consortium or some such. We arrived at the Hitchcock Nature Center at 12:00 and learned how the trees were taking over what was natural grassland before man did it in. The nature center is trying to restore the natural order of the area. I actually made it to the top of the tower! We then hit ...

    From Nevada to Brooklyn

Today we got in the car and drove to Nevada... Iowa! I took a long nap and that felt so good. Then we arrived in Brooklyn... Iowa! We said we all wished it was home but that washed away when we started eating at the "classic" deli. Emma and I had a make your own sand witches with turkey pickles and mozzarella for Emma ...
