Made it to Fargo, ND today. It snowed this morning in Wisconsin and we met Emmy's friend for lunch in Minneapolis, MN.
We also stopped at an REI for a few minutes.
Roads in Minnesota this evening were icy in spots and it was very windy, but we went slow and made it here safely.
Sorry, there isn't much else to say since we haven't done any sight seeing yet. Planning on entering Canada tomorrow, so things should become more interesting.

The day of the wedding finally dawned and after visiting with more relatives we headed for St. Michael's Church in Grand Forks. It reminded me very much of our cathedral in downtown Nashville, except they still had a lot of statuary surrounding the main altar. ... checked our visa and noted that it is not valid until January 12! If we had gotten on our Monday flight to Vietnam, we would not have been allowed to enter the country until January 12, which - a coincidence? - is the day we actually ARE arriving in Vietnam so we are fine.
