7/1 Day 10 It was a quiet day in Lake Woebegone, oh, it is lake Manawa. We continue to camp at Lake Manawa State Park in Iowa. It was a quiet day. We slept in then went to the visitor center in Omaha. They appraised us of many more sites to see than we will have time for. We then went to lunch at this very quaint French bistro / wine store. I had the whole trout with dill and Peg had the crawfish ettouffe, a traditional Cajun dish. Delicious. ...
I met a delightful lady at another campaign function, and she invited me to come and meet her friends at Sunridge Village Retirement Center.
We spent a pleasant coffee hour visiting about the issues.
I always marvel at the positive attitude and wisdom that I find among our senior citizens. There's something to be said for perspective in life, that comes from maturity!

We cross the whole state of Nebraska and we see huge prairies filled with cattle. John tells us that Nebraska's beef has very good reputation as being tasty because it is grass fed; they send it all over the country: He remembers that his grandma used to send them beef from Nebraska every year.
