    ... something to eat and it was literally the only place open. The good news is it only cost us 7 soles which is the equivalent of about $1.70 Canadian - and that was for two meals and a coffee. Crazy! After breakfast we decided to head to the airport where we would look into getting on a flight to see the Nazca lines. I took some ginger gravel (apparently Peru is not good for my stomach!) in preparation. The flights are notoriously nausea inducing as they fly over the lines ...

    ... which has the original red brick used in the road. They have been salvaged and relaid just outside the town on a less frequently used country road.

    From there it was back on the old Route 66 until wes saw a sign for a covered bridge. I thought he had seen enough of these. This one is quite small and no longer in use but in a pretty setting. Two ladies were checking it out for a family portrait.

    Anywho, there was no accidents, close calls, obscene gestures, or anything dramatic like that as we went along. Until we came to the Indian Lakes Campground near Batesville IN.

    Things I have learned about me
    Regardless of how long one has been gone, I did not forget to take the threat of a tornado seriously and am very grateful I did not have to have the direct experience
    It doesn't take a lot to make me happy these days
