Rend Lake State Park in Southern Illinois is a beautiful park. We camped with for two nights with a view of the lake out our back window. We had hoped to enjoy the biking trails, however the weather did not cooperate and it rained most of our visit. Thus, Elena had some quality time to work on her quilt. The Peoria Riverfront museum was well worth the trip into Peoria. I went to see the Jacquin exhibit on Outsider Art. Outsider Art is Art produced by artists without formal training, especially by ones who work in an idiosyncratic style and are relatively isolated from mainstream artistic trends. It often takes on the look of art created with a child like hand to art.

... Bandealy who played the devil slave. If it was not for him keeping my interest I could have fallen asleep. I guess my expectations were too high for this Shakespeare experience, but maybe that’s why the show was not sold out.

Even though I was not impressed, my son and I still had a great time and enjoyed the afternoon and evening, plus it exposed him to Shakespeare.
