The one in Texas claimed to be the largest in North America, however, the one in Effingham, Illinois is 10 feet taller and claims to the be tallest in the world. All I know is these crosses can be seen for miles and make an impressive sight along the roadway.

After that, we went back to the RV and relaxed for awhile. We weren't sure at that point what was going on in Oxford (and we weren't able to find a place near that town to stay overnight), so we opted for a drive to Lafayette, IN to stay in their Walmart's parking lot.
