... made it easier to decide upon turning them into a park. But still; camping has become part of the American culture. (At least for some. Oprah spent a whole episode on interesting the public for camping. Without apparent success.) And it's fun. Even if your heater gave up. Tomorrow our drive to Lake Tahoe [pronounce Ta-Ho]. All scenic route along the 89. Or as Alice would state it: more trees. PS. I made ****** pictures, but most on my camera so I'll update some when I'm on wifi ...

... the Milky Way. But at the Manzanita campground we found a spot. Just 1 mile from the north-entrance of the park. Nice between the trees. We are building a campfire. It's gonna be cold tonight. Alice gathered additional wood. No hookup, so we are a bit more camping. In my self-supporting ...

This is normally a popular lake for fishing. However, in the 4 days we were there, I didn't see one boat in the water. The docks on the nearby marina were literally on the ground overgrown with foot high weeds. Still, this remains a beautiful lake, and this was by far of the best campsites we have been to.

From here our plan from here is to explore nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park and Crater Lake in Oregon.

Braving the approach of winter, we set out for Boise to pick up our custom made Motorhome slider. We stayed in Winnemucca the first night and then stayed in Jackpot with very few resources. On to Boise - the park was crowded. We got a tour of the factory and met very nice people - the custom slider was all we expected. Headed out for Bend, OR through winds and rain fell in Sisters where we ...

Another beautiful morning, the weather here is
fantastic. We are off to see another of
