    ... do that! The kids went climbing on some boulders on the way and were quite tired out by the time we finished the hike. They then got their junior ranger badges by working through their activities, and both are very happy about becoming junior rangers.

    ... and the Badlands are very different - with mountains of strange shapes both sides of the bus. Stopped at a couple of vantage points for photos but didn't want to stay out in the heat too long. A stop at the shops at Wall Drug......which is set up as an old Western town but we didn't stay long. The main shop we went into was a maze of stuff ad easy to get lost in ! Back ...

    Terrible breakfast at the hotel so we jumped on Sean's bike and headed off to meet Kaz. She has a group of 50, (1 kiwi and 49 Aussie's on a Heavy Metal Tour). They were given directions and headed off.

    We followed Kaz and after breakfast at Keystone; did Rushmore; around Custer State Park and then we met up with Jo & Goldie in Custer. We saw Buffalo; Prong Horn Deer and Rocky Mountain Sheep up close - fantastic in the open range parks. The Custer State Park is 72,000 acres so ...

    We headed to Mt. Rushmore today. Newcastle was the first stop - for gas. Then we took the Iron Mountain Hwy to Crazy Horse then onto Rushmore. Crazy Horse hasn't changed since I was a kid.
