Whilst in Central Park, I found this small brass band playing A nightingale sang in Barclay sq which I love and seemed perfect because it made me think of my beautiful friend Joni Talks whose version of the song is the best one you will ever hear. So I sat and thought of Joni for a while and then coincidently they did Maria next, which is a song when I hear I think of her ...

Wednesday 2 April This morning we departed Boston's Back Bay Train Station at 8.20am, arriving at New York's Pennsylvania Station at 12.30pm. From here we walked 7 blocks of Manhattan midtown during the lunchtime rush hour to our hotel for the next 7 days, Distrikt. Discovering that check in was not available to 3pm, we dropped off our baggage, and headed out to put this time until check in to good use. Here we purchased weekly subway cards (unlimited metro journeys for $29 ...
