    ... coffee. Explored the Financial District and explained the background to 9/11 to the kids. (see Day 5 highlights video for pics)
    Hung out for lunch in Brooklyn - great pizza at Grimaldi's and also had to try a New York hot dog (can recommend Shake Shack).
    Kate and Mia spend a few hours this evening at the shops - Mia came home successful with a few lovely ensembles.
    Sadly we leave NYC tomorrow around noon, so last sleep before Texas, hee haah!

    ... but Jayne had never thought of them as serving first-class food. Our restaurant options were limited, so there we were. But we were amazed. Our Norwegian salmon was the best. Our waiter, Rob, said it was fresh as he had caught it the same morning! For dessert we shared an enormous hot fudge brownie sundae.

    ... With sunset occurring we went to a nearby original New York Deli and grabbed a wrap each, again the size of a human head. By the time we had finished stuffing our faces night had fallen. We were embraced by a vibrant and breathtaking Times Square rammed with people and excitement. Photo opportunities galore. We considered a broadway musical, but figured paying through the nose for **** views was not worth it.

    ... We were a might early for the fireworks. About an hour and a half.
    So 9pm come and goes, ok the murmur on the boardwalk suggests 9:30.
    9:30 comes and we can see a sprinkle of light.
    So it appears the advise we were given of where to see the fireworks appears to have been an epic fail!!
    We were at the end of 20th street and they were down the bottom end of the island near the Brooklyn bridge. Ahs well. Walked back up 20th toward the comedy house. Once we got ...
