After Joshua Tree I camped in each of these places for a night: Mojave National Preserve Afton Canyon Rainbow Basin Red Rock Canyon State Park All really pretty desert scenery. So 3 days and counting!

      We have rented our cars.
Since a car may only be rented for 28 days max, we have rented a 9 passenger
van for 3 days. We will be able to fit all of us, including Belgium friends
while we travel around Brussels. This van we prepaid so we even saved a little

SUV for 28 days, which is what we will drive to Germany, Austria, Denmark, and
on. This is a 6 passenger, diesel. We hope that ...

We drove for a bit longer and finally found a funny little pub to call in and have some lunch, ...

... use the service road. **** road but shortly after we took the detour the traffic on the freeway started to bank up. We maintained our course and speed and observed bumper to bumper traffic for the next 20 Kms. The bank up was due to an inspection station that we were able to avoid. The Legend then put us back on the freeway for another 2 hrs into Bakersfield. The town was a bit dodgy but we settled into ...

      Swimming in the RV

... out of the bottom of the RV, not a good sign.

I went straight into the RV where Dale was sponging water out. It seems he had started to fill the water tank and walked away, as he has done before. This time however the overflow hose had cracked above the floor level allowing the water to pour into the RV. My stomach sank as I realized, being a property claims adjuster, what this meant.

After putting groceries inside the house instead of ...
