... springs. In certainly isn't a "nature" NP, as it is mostly centered in and around the town of Hot Springs. BTW - the sign said this was Bill Clinton's boyhood town. Not sure what tomorrow holds, all I know for sure is that Barbara will join me on Thursday in Nashville. I'm very much looking forward to having a partner onboard for the next few weeks. ... 30pm in the afternoon there were people all
over the street, in no hurry to get out of our way. Balconies of
drunk men on one side calling across to drunk women on a balcony on
the other side. Hot dog vendors pushing their carts up the street, a
tap dancing pre-teen, a man carrying a large tuba. Everyone walking
was carrying beer or other drinks. I get the feeling it would be
pretty nuts after 7pm and wouldn't like to think about what happens
at ...

Come over baby Whole lot of shakin' goin' on -- Jerry Lee Lewis, 1955 We drive into Hot Springs to the sound of thunder . . . rolling thunder . . . the thunder of a thousand Harleys. Oh my goodness, we've arrived at the height of the 10th annual Hot Springs Rally, the "largest in central Arkansas. Great, just great. But I get ahead of myself. In Texas. It took us 6 - 7 hours to get here and we filled our tank on the way for $20! Under $2 a gallon. Jonathan fm drove straight here via Arby's drive through, a McDonald's coffee pit stop and then. Walmart stop for groceries. Arrived after hours at another state park and it smells amazing after New Orleans - like cedar I think, I have no idea. I'll get brochures tomorrow when we check out with the ranger. As it was almost dark, we haven't explored ...
