Well, I-10 and I-12 are in no better shape than last trips. It's like riding a roller coaster for 2 hours. Luckily I-49 was much better. We took I-49 North to line up with Hwy 380 in Texas. This is a small 2 lane highway to nowhere. Roswell, The Very Large Array, Valley of the Fires and the Painted Desert are accessible from this road.

For dinner, we noticed a local steakhouse, The Porterhouse, was offering a crab stuffed swordfish, and it sounded like the perfect end for the day. It was even better than expected as it was actually an 8oz grilled swordfish, stuffed with a whole crab-cake, and topped with a bisque ...
... to try out the bathhouse, Jody will get a massage also (not my thing). Then it's off to ride the motorcycle to the top of both mountains and do a little more hiking. Also, there is a 216 ft observation tower on 1 of the mountains that we can go up in, and see the view! Should be great fun!
