Very comfortable room. It is raining. Had a good nights sleep and delicious breakfast. Today it is 50 degrees. Headed to Mount Rushmore. Speed limit is 80 in Wyoming.
... we changed our plans to go through Sheridan, WY on our way to Rapid City. I found Peter D's RV park. His recording said he had spots available for latecomers and that staying at Pete's had nutritional value - if we didn't stay, Pete didn't eat. Haha! Deadwood, 6am Sunday, Thunder Cove Inn, our digs for the last 3 nights. Out front the road leads to the town of Lead, Spearfish & Mt Rushmore, out back a sheer mountainside complete with pine trees, rocky outcrops & the odd deer. Across the road is a small stream which babbles peacefully in the early morning serenity. Are you lot jealous yet?
