... zip lining.

Mega Cavern Mega Zips in Louisville is the "world's only fully underground zip line course" according the company, and that's where we headed. Our 7pm appointment called for us to get geared up to take on 6 zip lines in a two-hour time frame. Everyone was Ok except that Laneshia wasn't to sure about doing all 6 zip lines - plus the temperature was a steady 59 degrees in the cavern (refreshing from the 90+ degree heat, but cold for 2 constant hours). Our guide shared so many interesting facts and info concerning the history ...

We stayed at the Marriott in downtown Louisville, which made things super easy. Race start time was at 7:30 AM and I woke up at 6:45, threw on my race clothes, and walked out the door.

The race itself was nice, albeit crowded for the half marathoners. My favorite part was actually running through Churchill Downs. The ...

... see that it is quite a large area and I am sure it is crowded during ski season.

Our drive the rest of the afternoon was again on back roads which we much prefer to interstates. The land in this part of Indiana is quite hilly and there were many small towns along our route. The afternoon was very nice…temps up to 86. We arrived at our camp for tonight, Louisville Metro KOA on the Indiana side of the Ohio River. We stayed here once five or six years ago. ...
