... it to him. Thank goodness we decided to grill!!

We are leaving in time as the temperature by Wednesday will be in triple digits due to the Santa Ana winds. Terry found out that as the wind comes over the mountains and drops into the valley (LA) it heats the air up 5 degrees for every 1000 feet it falls (this is your science class for the day). Of course the heat and wind then makes it more dangerous for fire. What we have learned in SoCal (LA Area) is though the ...

Wellllllllll.......... things got interesting last Tuesday afternoon, August 6 but things are OK and thankfully we've been able to continue the trip without too much lost time although we were unable to visit two of my favorite desert parks; Mojave Preserve and Joshua Tree.

    Bye Bye California

A travel blog entry by lesleyrose on Nov 07, 2012

... This tour lasted about 45 minutes and I could easily have gone around again. Then I went to the lower level of the park to do "The Mummy" roller coaster ride. Adrenalin rush of note. I mean they double strap you into the seat - I was scares out of my wits but once it was over, I wanted to do that again too - until I saw the photo that had been taken. I'd have loved to have bought it as a keepsake but at $25 my sanity prevailed. Straight after that I did ...

Well, we finally had to tackle the trek through LA. Neither of us was looking forward to it. We were on the road by 8:30 after a quick stop for gas. We decided to take the Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu to Santa Monica then take I-10 east the rest of the way.

The drive on the PCH was very pretty, along the water once we got through Oxnard. Lots of surfers out, even at that early hour and hundreds of cyclists. Obviously a popular ...

Have you slept in a wigwam lately?

... there are 20 wigwams (with 2 x beds, a tv, and a bathroom so perhaps not the most authentic wigwam!) and they just circle around a grassed area , picnic table and pool. It is really lovely and has a nice family feel. The view is also exceptional. Thank you Joycees

We grab a pizza for dinner and then that is the end of me and Elwood. We conk out and Noah stays up and admires he his beautiful photos.

A big wigwam good night to you ...
