    The Grand Drive Around

A travel blog entry by hsmiter1 on Jul 21, 2013

... drive towards San Diego. Of course we have to stop a few times so this becomes even longer, and typical tourist style we don't realise how far apart Gas Stations are and suddenly we are on empty and 18miles from the nearest - good job! We turn around and manager to make the 12miles backwards for petrol - this won't happen again!

Half way to our destination and we decide we won't make ...

By the first week of Dec, several people started heading back home for Christmas: John/Shirley, Dave/Karen, Wayne/Lee, Wes/Sonja, Walter/Linda.

Andy and Amy left on the 10th of July and we had somehow managed to con everyone into leaving the granddaughters with us while we drove back to CA, 15 days away. Nothing like non-parent time with the little ones (Alyssa 9 and Alicia is 7). They absolutely love the coach and 15 days is ...

We're in! Just three military inspections – no banditos, no barricades with armed robbers, no druglords, no gunplay, no shots fired. The scenic toll road from Rosarita to Ensenada is just that. Rolling hills/mountains to the left and rolling surf to the right – sometimes with wide expanses of sandy beaches and sometimes with rocky shoreline. Beautiful!!!! Lots ...
