... Terry looked in one of the side compartments and lifted the bed to look in the engine and didn't see it. We watched some if the TPC and during the rain break decided to check if we could have charcoal fires. Since we can we decided to get the grill ready and when Terry lifted the compartment door....guess what was there, yes the cat. He couldn't move as his leash was caught on something so Terry got it undone and the guy was still in the lobby (he was leaving today) so ...

Wellllllllll.......... things got interesting last Tuesday afternoon, August 6 but things are OK and thankfully we've been able to continue the trip without too much lost time although we were unable to visit two of my favorite desert parks; Mojave Preserve and Joshua Tree.

    ... after an exhausting day.

Today we went to a Swap Meet (LA equivalent of a car boot sale) which luckily also had a VW exhibit on so Dan was happy! We wondered round for a while, grabbing a beer half way round and Dan bought some shorts. ... This tour lasted about 45 minutes and I could easily have gone around again. Then I went to the lower level of the park to do "The Mummy" roller coaster ride. Adrenalin rush of note. I mean they double strap you into the seat - I was scares out of my wits but once it was over, I wanted to do that again too - until I saw the photo that had been taken. I'd have loved to have bought it as a keepsake but at $25 my sanity prevailed. Straight after that I did ...

Have you slept in a wigwam lately?

... there are 20 wigwams (with 2 x beds, a tv, and a bathroom so perhaps not the most authentic wigwam!) and they just circle around a grassed area , picnic table and pool. It is really lovely and has a nice family feel. The view is also exceptional. Thank you Joycees

We grab a pizza for dinner and then that is the end of me and Elwood. We conk out and Noah stays up and admires he his beautiful photos.

A big wigwam good night to you ...
