Another awesome day travelled back from London caught up with Frances and Mick & Adrian then went with April & Rob to Detroit in the USA to see the Detroit Tigers v Chicago White Sox's great! Bad result but it was still great ate a hot dog sang the song in the 7th innings stretch and got home at 1 the next ...

Day 8: The long drive home & final budget

... and oh so yummy. Matt goes nuts over the teppanyaki. His favorite meal!)

It ended up taking us 12 hours to make the "short" 8 hour drive. So much for our plans to get home early!

So this is the final detailed budget tally. Turned out to be a pretty low-cost vacation - especially since we did many "bucket list" activities that are typically super expensive.

... sleep up to 12ppl in Robbinsville, North Carolina, overlooking the Smoky Mountains. All for a measly $90 a night!! (plus cleaning fee)

The cabin is close to the park - but the other side of the park. 20 mins to one entrance at Fontana Dam, 20 mins to the entrance at Deep Creek (tubing), about 45 mins to the other entrance at Oconoluftee. BUT took us 2.5 hrs to get from cabin to the Gatlinburg entrance. ...

... was called the behind, (behind the batter). Oh. The batter was not the batter, but the striker. The rest of the layers were the usual names, like right, center, or left fielder, and the runner was well, the runner. We also had fun riding the train around the park. And we rode in the omnibus.
