12F when we awoke can't imagine what 75F even feels like any more. Packed up the car and headed to the airport with our car and house sitter Miss Elizabeth in tow. Our flight was delayed slightly by de-icing however we were soon in the air and heading to warmer climates. Checked in at the hotel (bags all arrived!) ...

... for Tel Aviv on Sunday :) I found out yesterday I'll be living in an apartment with 10 other people. It's going to be insane and beautiful. My work is less than half a mile from my apartment, so I can walk or bike there in less then 10 minutes. I'm super relieved! But before that comes, I'm off to spend a couple days in the big city. Sending love and kisses to all of you. Know that I carry you with me where ever I go.

As a result, the course is staying on the paths, making for a slightly odd route. From ...

... There is a large bridge that takes you from Detroit onto the island. The island has a fountain, arboretum, playgrounds, picnic spots, ball fields and more. The family reunions were huge, featuring custom tee shirts and signs to direct family members where to find them. We headed back to downtown Detroit to find some dinner. This proved problematic as a Tigers baseball game was about to start and all of the restaurants were full. We drove the ...
